Putonghua Course for Non-Chinese Speakers 對外漢語課程

This course is designed for non-Chinese speakers who want to learn Mandarin more efficiently and flexibly. 

Introduction:

This course gives beginners formal training in Putonghua and equips students with the language essentials for further study. Students will develop communicative competence in listening and speaking so that they can speak Putonghua confidently and properly. Class activities include lecturing, pronunciation practices, listening, role play etc.

Course Outline:

        (A) Pronunciation

• introduction of the complete pronunciation system
• consolidate the mastery of tones on Chinese words

        (B) Conversations   

• study common Chinese words and phrases
• train student to communicate in basic Chinese through practices

Elementary Level (I): 30 hours

From Chapter1-10, about 200 Chinese words and simple daily life conversations.

Successful completion of this course is regarded as equivalent level to HSK Level I in listening and oral.

Elementary Level (II): 30 hours

From Chapter11-20, about 250 Chinese words and simple daily life conversations.
